Your second clause negates the first.

In short, "I know memories can be fallible, but the memories I know can't be fallible."

"As an individual I can't look inside another's mind to see how they make mistakes with their memory I can only look into my own mind."

And again, folks know that other people's memories are faulty. Exceptionalism is only claimed for onesself. But its done so by most everyone.
