Agreed with AK47 that this article isn't remotely scientific.

When presented with a modern paper pixel-doll with unrealistic proportions ( huge head, big Anime eyes, impossibly small nose, cantilevered hemispherical breasts... ) most LGs correctly choose to clothe her in the outfit more traditionally associated with this sort of fictional icon.

In fact, they compare negatively to Bratz, but tested by essentially asking whether a Bratz-type-doll ought to be overdressed for a Bratz-type-doll. ( And then were surprised that the answer is, "No." )

Perhaps if they were shown a baby-doll or a raggedy-Anne, they might also be able to recognize the socially accepted clothing for either of those as well.
