Exactly. And it is very possible to appeal to a cultural trope to express stress while not believing it.
I'd argue that there are no Atheists when you bash your thumb with a hammer; ... or people who don't believe that excretion is extraordinary, or.... ( Well, you get the idea. Our "swear words" don't represent ideas sincerely held. )
