People of both genders who were hurt badly by men in the past will sometimes lose perspective and tend to develop a hatred for men, much as people of both genders who were hurt badly by women in the past will do the same regarding women. If they had kept their perspective and saw the other side of things going on at the same time with other people, they would realize that oftentimes people in general can suck massively (and not in the good way), and that there are good and bad in both genders, all races, all possible sexual orientations, and all age groups, as well as all religions, and all ideologies. But it can be hard not to develop a bias against one of those over and above the others if you have personally been hurt by one over the other due to circumstances or happenstance.

Of course, the good folks at Peej try to come off as being tolerant in general by supporting gays, and recruiting as many gay members as possible, when we know that tolerance or intolerance of a certain group based on that group's level of popularity at any given period of time is simply playing politics to your advantage, and in no way suggests a general level of open-mindedness, let alone courage. It takes no courage whatsoever to attack MAAs today, just as it took no courage to do the same against homosexuals prior to the 1980s.
