Nothing wrong with that except that children are essentially not in this category and we would not attempt to treat them as such otherwise the prisons might be further crowded and there would a lot more empty schools. Children of course have the same rights as any other individuals but since they are not fully mature then they are given added protections also in various ways some explicit and some implicit in how we treat them. I don't claim that we have it perfectly right at the moment since we treat children differently in so many ways in different cultures and the Western approach might not be what is best for them but looking back over a few decades children are probably no less happy as they once were so I think our "protections" seem to be working reasonably well.
