My point is that you cannot escape the fact that in humans everything funerary we do (especially the bans on necrophilia) is all religion-based. Sure, the specifics vary a lot, but it's always based on religion. Even burning: many ancient peoples preferred burning to burying, and Hinduism theoretically still does.

I can't disagree since we do have a lot of historical and cultural baggage but there are many, like myself, who do not see religion playing ANY part in their lives so as I've said anyone can do what they like with my body - when I have finished with it. I don't suppose being torn apart by four horses will be allowed though!
