Amazing! They are actually punishing the victim, the one they are supposed to be looking out for. I cannot fathom locking up a minor girl (or boy) for not testifying. What zealots. A true lack of respect for their privacy, will, and opinion.
This injustice is true though! An inappropriate child/adult relationship is the business of the state. If they catch wind of it, they take action against said perpetrator, and the minor party has no say to press, or not press charges. The state treats it as a criminal matter, and basically will go after the perpetrator weather you like it or not.
A hard lesson learned for many young teens, victimized by statutory rape laws.
Lee I respect your voice around here, and while it seems you may be attacked for having some different beliefs, said differences are a necessity for stretching our minds and forcing us to consider further those points of contention. I may push you to consider some of your views persist due to you're own insecurities with your attraction. I'm making this statement knowing I don't know you, so take it as that. Perhaps you are not at peace with MAA's, or child-sexuality because your own desires have not be reconciled.
It is a tough thing to do!
I still have shame and some self-hatred above and beyond the loneliness, and I've been well aware of my attraction and educating myself for more than 3-4 years. (Oh gosh, that isn't so much is it.)
One cannot have a very enlightened opinion if the only person they talk to is themselves.
