What I don't understand, lee, is why you would expect people to just read statements they disagree with and not present counter-evidence or ideas to those statements. That is what happens in discussions, and some discussions inevitably turn into debates. I don't see how that can be viewed as a problem that would incite someone to cease their frequency of posting. If you have views or ideas, any views or any ideas, you need to expect them to be critiqued.
It may frustrate you that your view is in the minority here, so you may feel ganged up on at times, and I'm sorry if that is the case. But please understand that outside of these forums, the same thing invariably happens to anyone holding the majority view here, because the view you have is the majority view virtually anywhere else. If we can deal with that on a regular basis outside of these cyber-walls, then I like to think you can deal with it here and here alone. I think it's intellectually healthy to hear alternate views, and to have discussions that you are not likely to have anywhere else. If your mind is closed to alternative views, then you are essentially unwilling to learn anymore about this subject than you do from the mainstream media and government sources, and if such is the case, you honestly are not going to feel very comfortable here. I take your word for it, however, that you are here to learn, not just have your long accepted beliefs either reinforced or left unchallenged. I am hoping you will get past this frustration you currently seem to have to listen to what is offered here, which can be of immense value based on the reasons I noted above.
