If I had a background in philosophy and was better educated (and was brighter) I would probably find it entertaining to debate with yourself but since you will undoubtedly trounce me in most debates I will have to limit myself as to replying to you.
You will notice that after the first couple threads I have tried to reply not to your opinions, but to your lines of reasoning.
Everyone is entitled to their opinions, but everyone is not entitled to their logic.
I consider more useful, both for lurkers and for you, to point out not if I differ with your opinions but where I see logic being faulty.
Unfortunate, and I know you will miss such an easy target but "pleasure" seems to me to be one of the problems that faces humankind and our abilities to control ourselves with regard to it so I place it not that high on the list of things justifying behaviour - of any sort - well at least not at the top.
As a personal decision, that is your personal decision.
The fact that you'd still be usurping others' the autonomy to make their own personal decision (which you have made for yourself) if they differ from yours, is the problematic thing here, not that you decided this for yourself.
"I don't want to run your life, I don't know how to run your life, and the Constitution doesn't give me the authority to run your life."
I would only add - "distrust anyone who tells you they know how to run your life"
