GM - girl in restaurant

I noticed her when I first walked in. She was with her family in the booth nearest the door, and was wearing an oversized, multi-color hat. It was the hat that really got my attention at first, though I quickly saw that it was being worn by a rather pretty girl, about 10 years old.

I smiled at her once or twice, but didn't pursue anything. Apparently that was enough to pique her interest, though. When I sat down, waiting to order, waiting for my food, and while eating dinner, she all but stared at me.

Sometimes our eyes met, and soon she took off her cap to show off her long hair, and started primping and preening, and assuming the sorts of poses that models normally do to show themselves off. I know it was for my benefit because she kept looking in my direction, and there was nobody else in my direction (no one else in the dining area, actually. Once or twice her mother seemed to notice and looked around to see what might be prompting her daughter, but she didn't seem to think that I could be the cause. Of course, I put on my best "minding my own business" look. ;-)

Well, I am quite flattered that a pretty girl would be interested in attracting my attention. I'm not bad looking or anything, but I don't normally have crowds of girls vying for my attention either.

Eventually the family finished their meal and left, and I probably won't see her again ... but now I have one more memory, and the knowledge that there are plenty of girls out there who still like men.
