As I said, most of my early childhood until about eleven was pretty much happy and untroubled so I do have vague memories of many relatively normal things, like being quite helpful towards my mother, shopping and such, and it is the more traumatic events that I remember vividly. My earliest is about age two and that is a single isolated incident. I think it likely that this happens to many of us but I can't vouch for those with more troubled childhoods. Most of my questioning and confusion came much later.
