I think this is an important point. I don't think it really is directly related to what lee lette argues regarding KP, but it is extremely important regarding public perception of pedophilia (and hebephilia). There is just no reason to argue, or assume, that MAAs are any more inclined to authentic torture and murder than teleiophiles are. The absence of evidence for the snuff epidemic pretty much corroborates that its practice is rare among teleiophiles. There is no reason to suppose it's any less rare among MAAs.
I think it was indeed relevant to what lee was arguing about CP, because you will note how he regularly refers to children "suffering" under CP, and insisting that CP is always a form of abuse. This ties in with the popular cultural conception of CP: When the latter term is mentioned, because the general public only has the word of the police and whispered rumors from others to go on, upon reading or hearing those words the average person automatically conjures up mental images of children kidnapped and forced to participate in the sexual activity, always by adults who have full control of what goes on before the camera, often with grotesque forms of torture and even mutilation occurring, with the implication that this constitutes a large proportion of what the police refer to as "CP" in their arrests. This plays into the related cultural mis-belief that there is a strong connection between adult attraction to minors and violent, sadistic, and maliciously selfish behavior, when there is actually no evidence that MAAs typically lack a conscience or the ability to empathize with others, or that they typically have fantasies that focus on acts of sadism. And we all know that the public has a very strong emotional need to believe this, because this enables them to effectively rationalize support of government policies that are destructive of our civil rights and some of the most important tenets of democratic jurisprudence--including the requirement of providing evidence and transparency in government activities. Also, you will notice how the fact that the small amount of true forced porn that does exist involving minors is done at the hands of parents, stepparents, and other older relatives is heavily downplayed or not mentioned at all, thus leaving the implication that it's typically cadres of organized "pedophile rings" who kidnap kids and force them into making such films.
You will likewise note all the rationalizations for taking the words of the police at complete face value on this subject, despite the fact that LEOs are notorious for lies when it comes to these matters for all the reasons I mentioned in my essay that I linked to--the examples of the Satanic ritual abuse and snuff film "epidemic" of the 1980s and early '90s being too prime examples. Yet the belief persists because the need to believe persists.
Um?
Feminists have seriously argued for this, Dissident, and you know it.
Did I suggest otherwise?
And again for the record, I hesitate to call misandrists true "feminists," despite how they have co-opted the name. Sort of like how MAA-hunting vigilantes have co-opted the name "child advocates" [CA].
