I think you both have made good points and I am not suggesting that she is correct in how she views what has happened in her past life but that it is a very complex issue. These cases where there are very few concrete memories upon which to base a suspicion of abuse are very troubling and therapists will undoubtedly not be helpful much of the time when they have an interest in prolonging their involvement. Also I don't know how effective these kinds of forums are when they are run by non-professionals other than just being a "listening" and sympathy platform.
