The Little Lupe case in the USA, the Bill Henson case in Australia, and the Wikipedia case in the UK, definitely established that intent is not required for KP cases, and eventually convictions.
OTOH, successful defenses have been built around arguments that the defendant didn't know they had KP - because it got there due to viruses, hacking, or KP-containing ads on otherwise non-illegal pages being recorded to the browser cache. Rare, but they exist. So, there may still be a point.
Arguably, this is part of the rationale behind Australia now defining as KP pornography featuring legal aged women with too-small bewbs. It tries to establish an intent from the content.
