Exactly. It isn't the tone that is important; it is the sentiment behind it. It's like saying to a black man, "Yes, I do consider your race inferior to the white race, but I was very gracious and friendly about it. What's the problem?" And then he just falls back on the same fallacious nonsense--like the bandwagon fallacy--when you debate him, no matter how obviously fallacious it is. You cannot reason with people who obviously don't care whether their arguments are fallacious or not, and who insist on maintaining their prejudices. But I have to say, you guys are way more gentle with lee lette than you ever were with me when I was in my 'anti period', or whatever you want to call it. I got reamed right and left, and I wasn't nearly as anti as lee lette is. But in a way I'm glad he came here; now I can see what an insufferable ass I was during that time. Probably still am, but at least I'm on your side now. ;-)
