Misfired GM

This is a "lol" or "not-so-lol" moment...

I was at a restaurant yesterday. There was a perfect LG, about 7, who was being very "girly" in all her actions and movements. She was happy and cute, and had on perfect shorts that accentuated her little rear end and showed off her perfect skin tone on her legs. Her actions were just full of the sunshine and frivolity that make LG's so radiant - chatterbox speech, giggle, playfulness, hugging her Mom, skipping around.

I paid a little too much attention. I did not get "caught," but the Mom thought I was paying attention to HER. She actually approached my table and initiated a conversation when her LG went off to the play area. I felt a moment of fear, thinking she was going to confront me about my attention to her daughter. Then, when she gave me a playful smile, I actually had a false moment of extreme hope. Or more accurately, a real moment of extreme false hope... Then reality set it when she asked me out, saying, "you seemed interested in me." Normally, a forward woman turns me off, but the way she asked was very clearly laced with, "I can't believe I have the guts to talk to you like this." That was nice.

She is not unattractive, and is actually rather cute for a 30-something. We have a tentative date coming up. But I probably won't allow a relationship to develop (unless my secret hope above proves true). She pales in comparison to the sheer life of her daughter. But one never knows - I am not exclusively pedo, though my tendencies that way are pretty strong.
