Definitely know the feeling.

It made things all the more difficult that her father was there. Had she been alone, it might have been easier to toss her a compliment. I find that once you succeed in starting a conversation it gets easier from there.

You might also find it easier to talk to LGs if it weren't our current demonization, if you didn't feel like an Anti would jump down your throat if you tried.
