A Celebrity GM

Celebrity LGs' comings and goings are well known events. If I were to say that I saw Little Miss So and So today, folks could possibly look up where she was and suss out my hometown. So, for the purpose of this post, I shall call this celebrity LG not-Suri-Cruise.

* ahem *

I'm at work in the midst of retail Holiday Hell. Some woman comes up to my register with a return she needs to make of something which wasn't wanted. She's got a cutie pie in tow that she props up on the counter. The little one was wearing a mini bomber jacket over a pink tutu. ( When I get an LG army, the bombardiers are going to wear tutus. )

So I'm checking out the button nose, the pouty mouth and the quizzical eyebrows and thinking, "Gee, she looks JUST LIKE not-Suri-Cruise. And since I happen to be a fan of not-Suri-Cruise, I know that she happens to be in town. But there are a lot of bundles of cuteness. And I'm sure that some closely resemble not-Suri-Cruise.

I nonchalantly process the return, and, seeking to return the tender to the original form of payment ask, "Do you have the credit card ending XXXX?" As the woman roots in her wallet, and presents her credit card, I notice that the card is made out to Agnes Blowhard. But I spot the top of another card in her wallet from some professional agency with the name not-Suri-Cruise as well as Agnes Blowhard; thus establishing that A ) she takes care of/represents/or is authorized to act on behalf of not-Suri-Cruise, and more importantly B ) the adorable cutie pie isn't just a doppelganger, but is indeed not-Suri-Cruise.

As I didn't want to be intrusive, or have to explain how I knew who the LG was, I simply admired her beauty and poise. Though after she left I did tell my coworkers. And only 2 even knew who I was talking about.

( And of course it sucks that I can't brag here and tell you who not-Suri-Cruise actually is. )

But she made my day.
