[GM] Feeling Left Out

I had to make a trip to the pharmacy today. I was quite excited when I walked in and quickly noticed a number of little girls. It didn't take long to determine that I was among the minority of adults in there, as I had no children of my own. Indeed, just about everyone in there had at least one daughter with them. Everyone who walked in came in with a little girl clinging to their hand. I was in heaven. I was extremely fortunate to get in line to check out right behind a woman with three beautiful daughters, all blonde of hair. The eldest was probably about nine years old with blue eyes. The middle girl, I'd guess was seven or eight and had the lightest hair of them all. She had gorgeous green eyes you could lose yourself in. My favorite, though, was the five or six year old cutie with the shorter hair and the pretty blue eyes. She reminded me a tiny bit of my little girl, but certainly much different. I've never met a single girl I could truly call "just like my girl."

Anyways, after all this time it really hit me that I'm one of the very few in the store with no little girl with me. It makes me feel rather lonely, left out even, to see all of these parents with their girls clinging to them and talking to them and asking them to buy things for them. Oh how I'd love to have taken a girl or two off of the woman with the three girls. She's probably pretty overwhelmed with three kids, surely she could use a little break from them. If only I could convince her to part with one, even for a little bit.
