To what point is it hate?

Sure, to many it really is hate. But, you mention not antis in organized NGOs or randomly as individuals, but social workers, politicians and police departments. In their case, that's not hate. That's just greed and power hunger. The War on Children and the pedophile hysteria give them ways to oppress people, and suck off public resources, and they do. But they don't hate us or children. If tomorrow society decided to stop going after pedophiles and children and go again after gays, or Jews, or witches, they'd gladly switch, because who the prosecuted minority are is irrelevant to them. Any is equally good for the power and public money purposes they seek.

Now, someone like Eide, Walsh, maybe even Oprah... those ARE hateful, but they are not social workers, politicians and police departments. Same as the Westboro Baptists weren't the police either when sodomy was illegal.
