There is merit in objecting to a situation that creates unnecessary harm and misery. When everything is done to deny you happiness, how can you even function and just take it in stride?

Children too suffer under this knee-jerk control freak, security-obsessed, freedom killing, shaming regime. Already before kindergarten, I knew society expected kids to be necessarily broken after being sexually violated. That's harsh enough, but it's worst when the violation is merely cultural, because it could be avoided; and while the children are made to believe they are condemned to a life of victimhood, at the same time they can hardly help but feel complicit of one of the most serious crimes under heaven, since they have NO RIGHT to consent. Confusing? You bet! Good luck for staying mentally healthy. Even when the children think they can stand up for themselves, the odds are against them when facing the all pervasive dictates of society.

For now, I have no reason to stay silent when the choices offered to me are "don't live" or "die". "Just" having the possibility of a platonic relationship would be a big improvement, but nooooo, I am not human; and if I am, the present day circumstances will make sure to remedy the situation.
