She is not going to have sex with the majority. So it's not the majority's opinion which matters.

That said, it is better if we can show the majority a clear path away from harm and with entirely reasonable standards. That can change the opinions of people who are reasonable. Ultimately, though, it is not their opinion which matters. It is the girl's. (And the GL's, certainly, but we already presume that).

I agree that the parents need to be on the loop. I am only wary about the details. It is not so simple. Parents can be abusive, unreliable or unreasonable too. Or just don't care. I am more worried regarding those parents than good parents. Good parents will be able to find a working arrangement regardless. It is bad parents because of who we need more than good intentions from society or the GL.
