An interesting perspective. The idea that people were eager to throw young teen girls in prison isn't one that made it into the Wikipedia article on the subject -- they seem to imply that the laws were aimed at the traffickers and pimps.

Whether you are right or wrong in all the details isn't particularly important for evaluating the question of whether an age of consent is a good idea today.

The Republican party used to be the party more favorable to blacks. Then things switched.
