I didn't claim that you favor the status quo remaining exactly as it is. I said it is obvious that you will find a rationale to support restrictions because you seem to like restrictions. Being willing to let others fiddle around the edges is not exactly a ringing endorsement.

There are many miserable things about the history of humanity, but children's sexuality was not claimed to be a major problem until quite recently. You would think that someone would have noticed the major ill effects now attributed to pedophilia - if these effects were real.

There were many societies where girls could engage in temporary sexual relationships, and many societies treated such girls quite well.
