That should give you a general idea of how you might go about approaching the topic if you DON'T want to generate hostility. I didn't pass judgement on anyone, I didn't make any presumptions, and as a result, I don't sound... well, like you.

For future reference, when YOU react with hostility towards the one person who's actually trying to level with you instead of attacking you, I find that really uncool. On the other hand, I apologize for my snarky post...

I'll repeat the bottom line for you: if you really feel the need to make a post like this, you can probably succeed at doing it in a way that doesn't increase people's negative attitudes towards you.
