(For anyone who is into putting emotion aside, try reading my post again, only the words that are there, as if someone else had written them, and see if that makes it seem more benign.)

I think generally the responses might be less hostile, and more on the confused side reading a proclamation like that.

A kind of: "any reason you're saying this now?" if it was from a long time member, and if it was a new poster: "bit of an odd intro. But it sounds like you must have been reading the board for a while!"
