When someone floats a 1% number, the penile plesythmograph findings are echoes in all the online comments correcting the misinformed party.
Because it SURELY can't be the case that Peds are discussing some special knowledge which the general public aren't discussing.
The public couldn't just be holding forth with uninformed opinions like so many of them do when making judgements about foreign politics, unfamiliar art, or even the geography of their own nation. No. Sex is the one exception where folks who can't find New Mexico on a map. or who believe that "Chinese " is a language are magically informed about every relevant fact.
This must be due to their celebrated openness to discussing sex without bias or moralizing and their eagerness to have their views on it corrected if need be.
