It would feel a little awkward - but then, it would also feel a little awkward if they became a famous actress or politician.

How I felt about it would depend in large part on why she was pursuing that career. If, as in this story, it was a consequence of a child welfare system that puts employees first, or a question of having no other alternatives, I would feel as though I had failed her. If it was because this is what she really wanted to do, I would be happy for her. If it was a principled decision based on the best interests of herself and others, I would feel proud of her. (The only case like that I know of is the porn star Belle Knox, who is something of a genius.)

Lexi Belle was a cute 8 year old. The saddest part of the story is not that she became a porn star, but that she was repeatedly taken away from those she loved when she was a child. I hope she has a happy life.
