I dunno crapola about clinical trials but, in my case, Prozac has been of benefit. Another but, I can't say for sure it has anything to do with my depression, which I certainly have suffered from for over 30 years. About 20 years ago, I began to experience vertigo day and night and then outbursts of anger, cussing and throwing things, cursing and mocking god and the universe. A med dr. Diagnosed depression and put me on small dose Prozac. After 3 weeks my vertigo was gone and my wife can testify my anger is no longer an issue. Depression continues. I'm pretty sure this is not a placebo effect in my case as several times over the past couple decades, I have forgotten to take the Prozac and the vertigo returns.

So, I think I'm agreeing with Ethan (this post only). I hope to hell that doesn't mean that I am arguing with Dante.
