That is a strangely uncomfortable world of medicine you paint. Myself, I don't want doctors first attempting to fool me with a placebo to see it that helps. Just tell me the shit might or might not work for me, it has side effects, whatever, and let me decide if I want to try it.

And if I have cancer, I want to know. I can fight it within myself as well as any treatment so let me get to work on that as soon as possible.
