Once, twice, three times... (GM)

...the ladies! Sitting at the coffee shop, late afternoon, in walks a woman with two girls in tow -- somewhere around 6 and 4, I'd guess. 4 was wearing shorts over a one-piece swimsuit, 6 in pants, t-shirt, and hoodie. All three ladies were blondes.

While mom went to order her coffee, both LGs parked at the table next to mine and would not stop watching me and smiling shyly at me :) Naturally, I smiled back, although I stopped short of waving -- I wasn't sure how much friendliness would be welcome, and honestly I was feeling clumsy and awkward the way I always seem to when I'm in the presence of attractive girls. Why does my usual outgoing and talkative manner fail me when I could use it the most?!

Anyway, since the place was busy, their mom had to wait in line a while to order, then wait even longer to get her drink, so I spent a good 15 minutes or more trading smiles and glances with two delightful girls... and as the trio were on their way out, I found enough of my voice to compliment the older woman's outfit -- she really did rock the strapless long shirt/short dress over jeans!

When the last few weeks have been pretty hard emotionally, today's smiling faces made a huge difference in lifting my mood. Thought I'd share that with the rest of you GChatters; maybe it'll brighten your mood, too?
