I would think a reasonable comment that might get a few readers of that column thinking would be to suggest talking with the parents of the boy and have an open conversation. Maybe the illegal images he looked at were all of boys, for instance. Recognize that it's going to be a hot topic in today's climate and share views. Maybe the boy can give an explanation that would put everyone at ease. Maybe he'd recognize that people would be nervous around him and he'd agree not to play with the girls at all. Incrementalism, communication, etc. That's the Ethan way.
