Few tall and fat adults can hold a full automatic while standing up like that. (Ever wondered why it's preferred to shoot full auto from the ground)? No wonder an inexperienced and smaller person cannot.

It's not about her gender or her age; it's about her size combined with her inexperience. This would have happened just as well with a boy or with a 25, 45, 65 year old equally small and inexperienced.
