Re: Standards of evidence

I raised the issue of iatrogenic harm as an example of something important to most of you that you could no longer speak about if you had to follow a draconian standard of proof.

Iatrogenic harm is very real, and very unfortunate. I am in favor of society being changed to reduce it. My disagreement with many of you is that I believe not all harm is iatrogenic, which is one reason for my believing that engaging in adult-child sexual activity can never be justified in advance and should never be done.

But I didn't really mean to start a discussion on that topic here, just to note that it was being held hostage in exchange for adopting a reasonable standard of proof instead of an unrealistic one.
