Remember that the DSM used to claim homosexuality to be a psychological disorder that needed fixing. There is no evidence that says kids can't combine sexual arousal and attraction (which is lust) and affection. It is just something that caught on because of puritanical views of children. The field of psychology is heavily influenced by politics and social pressures.

If you look at the history of the age of consent and the beginnings of the paedosexual panic you will see that it being illegal does not have any rational base.

You are however right in deciding to avoid taking sexual risks with a little girl. As it being found out will cause those around her to harm her mentally. It's best to just avoid that. There is harm to desexualizing and avoiding sexual things with children, but they are not accepted and seen as good. Still, you being sexual by yourself will not help the situation. Especially considering most parents would not be like me and have very close minded views.

We all overthink, we are all a little crazy, and very few people are geniuses. Me included. So don't worry about it.
