No need to explain. Its the only way I know to be around kids.

And don't worry too much about it. There are a lot of other nons who know that this is the way to be. In fact the better parents will make sure that their kids have to suffer patronizing fools as little as possible. My Ex wouldn't put up with those who tried to talk to her girls as though they had to go through her first and make sure that the kid's opinion was parentally "endorsed."

The adults sounded like a bunch of stiffs. Why sequester yourself away when there are perfectly good games being played? Maybe tag puts the agile kids at an undue advantage. But kite flying is something adult bodies can handle.
