Let me guess: if the year were 1860 and we were slaves, you would claim that we must recuse ourselves from any discussion of the morality of slavery because our opinions would be necessarily motivated by self-interest at the expense of our legal owners; and if the year were 1860 and we were not slaves, you would argue that we have no standing to object.

This isn't just about us. Children are also being harmed by this moral panic - but you would have us stand down because we care about children?
