Interesting post. I don't know that having the vertical model would necessarily have stopped Sony from pulling the film though. There is a safety issue here, which Sony has said was the main reason they pulled the film (possibility of terrorist attacks on theaters).

Anyway, my understanding is that they are going to opt for another mode of distribution--I'm thinking it will be a straight-to-video type thing. I can't imagine they are going to shelf this film entirely--they have too much invested in it.
