Introducing 'Virtuous Pedophiles'

Regular readers here are of course aware of Virtuous Pedophiles (virped.org), but this message is aimed at those who are new and those who skim.

Virtuous Pedophiles (VP) is an organization of pedophiles who believe that adult-child sexual activity is wrong, and are committed to staying child-celibate. We run a support group for pedophiles which has attracted over 600 members in the past 18 months. There have been over 26,000 posts.

We believe pedophilia is an orientation that a person does not choose and cannot change, but is no cause for shame as long as a person does not act on it with children. It might be an option for those who adore little girls but are uncomfortable with the frequent posts here claiming adult-child sexual activity is fundamentally OK. I am one of the co-founders of the group. Through outreach, Nick and I seek to reduce the stigma that celibate pedophiles face in society.
