Exactly what point are you making?
I'm suggesting that even if you think adult-child sex is fundamentally OK, what you think about youth liberation is a separate question. I'm urging you to give it a little thought. But I Can say with certainty that you began your imperative arguement with two statements that appealed to popular belief as a means of establishing your position's legitemacy. Not really. It's part of something more complicated than that. And do I have to explain how popularity of belief Does Not establish factual truth? I agree, though when questions are complicated, that's what most of us are stuck with most of the time. Do you believe George Washington lived once? That the US Civil War was really fought? That Einstein's theory of relativity is pretty much true? I do, but I haven't personally checked them all out. Very few of us have. The vast majority of the time, we have to listen to experts and what most people think. When it comes to a question such as, "Is climate change happening and is it caused by human activity?", the main reason I believe it is that the great majority of scientists believe it, not that I am competent to evaluate the detailed arguments myself. You live your life the way that makes you happy according to what you think is right. And let others do the same as you would have them let you. I pretty much agree. Some people here have said they never read my posts, and if that's part of someone's happiness, I have no objection. |
