You should probably stop listening to what Republican candidates SAY on campaign and start looking at what they DO in legislature and state governor houses.

I loved Bachmann's campaign speeches. I know she wouldn't be as President who she is as campaigner, though.

I could say the same for Gingrich, though he is both so smart, so able a politician, and so capable of reinventing, that I really just don't know what he'd do.

And so on and so forth, but I like these particular examples because those are two whose discourse I really like but whose record I do not. And how are they going to govern? As they speak in campaign, or as they vote in the House? The answer is obvious.


But... of course. In campaign they're going to say whatever. In office they'll all be more centrist.

Same as happens to Democrats.
