Are VP only against sexual relationships between adults and children because the society says it is damaging?

No. But in arguing political strategy I pay very close attention to what society thinks. I'll offer you political advice, putting myself in your shoes and accepting for the moment the beliefs I think you hold. It's true it would be in my interest too.

Or are you going to keep counterworking pro contacts when non contacts have been socially accepted?

In a world where non-contact pedophiles are accepted (yay!) I would personally still argue for prohibitions on adult-child sex, because I think very few prepubescents would be interested and the risks to the child are large.

In that world, I think the pro-contact position would have half a chance at a fair hearing, in a way it never will today. Here's a guy who is NOT a monster, but a human being, and he has a sincere interest in a child who is very fond of him. I still think society will decide against it. (But if he goes over the line, he has a chance at a sentence in line with crimes that risk comparable harm.)

However, I've said that whether adult-child sex is accepted will be decided by the huge majority of society who are teleiophiles and who have no apparent conflict of interest. If to my great astonishment, they decided that sex with kids was OK, I'd probably figure they knew what they were talking about.
