seriously?

I'm not sure you're being serious, but it can be addressed seriously.

Anyone who takes a public position can be seen to have an interest in not having to admit they're wrong. That goes for any of us who say anything.

For those of you who haven't arrogantly assumed I just lie about everything, I'll offer this truth:

Perhaps you think I enjoy the (dim, virtual) limelight. I suppose I do, but only to the extent that I think my position is true and a benefit to pedophiles and children. It's nice to feel people are listening to you if you're saying something important.

That's pretty different from a conflict of interest about expressing your sexual desires with another person.
