Meanwhile, I got hundreds of emails, the overwhelming majority of which were supportive. Many were from women who were victims of abuse themselves, and they said that my article helped them see the issue in a new light and find some peace. Many more people admitted they had not realized that pedophiles and child molesters were not the same thing, and now they do. I certainly do consider that a win.
