Ethan, if the point you’re making is that the societal acceptance of intergenerational sexual contacts will increase the real rape of children – and I mean real rape as actual nonconsensual sex, not “statutory rape” which is just an empty label since it does not differentiate between consensual and nonconsensual sex – then you’re hopelessly wrong. The legalisation and normalisation of intergenerational sexuality will radically decrease the actual threat of sexual violence toward children. There are a whole range of reasons why it would be so.

1) COMMUNAL AND FAMILIAL OPENNESS

Nowadays, under the social regime of intense suppression and repression of child-adult sex, a lot of MAPs still engage in a “forbidden” relationships with children, and they have to do it in secrecy (understandably so). Yet, as we know from research, even in the absence of social controls because of the clandestine nature of their relationships with children, they usually act in an ethical manner, refraining from coercion or manipulation in their interactions with their underage sexual partners.

And, if intergenerational intimacy will become societally accepted, there would be no reason to hide it from children’s families and communities, which will allow the members of these families and communities to perform informal, non-intrusive control of children’s relationships with adults. It will work as a deterrent for the unethical persons who intend to deal with children in coercive or manipulative manner, and will allow members of family and community to interfere if a real danger would arise.

2) DECREASE OF THE SOCIALLY ENCOURAGED HOSTILITY

Nowadays, both adults and children are taught to fear the monstrous “paedophiles”, to suspect anyone who is contacts with children of being a “paedophile” and to act in an aggressive manner to anyone who is identified as a “paedophile”. Such constant fear- and hate-mongering creates an atmosphere of mutual hostility in society, and encourages both legal and extra-legal violence not only against actual paedosexuals, sexually active children and people who dare to support the first two groups, but against everyone who is simply suspected of the participation in intergenerational sexual relationships or of the approval of such relationships. Yet, despite this constant and intense indoctrination, there are children who are not afraid of “bad touches” and consent to them, and keep their voluntary sexual contacts with adults secret. And there are open-minded and critically-thinking adults (like me…) who can see beyond the hostility and fear-mongering.

The acceptance of intergenerational intimacy will stop the constant aggressive propaganda which permeates modern society, and thus will help to decrease the overall level of hostility among the people. And decrease in the overall level of hostility will naturally lead to the decrease in the level of sexually expressed hostility, this means of real rape, including real rape of children.

3) HIGHER (AND EARLIER) SOCIAL SKILLS OF CHILDREN

Even now, when children are deliberately kept ignorant of social and sexual matters by most adults to maintain their presumed “innocence”, as well as prevented from building informal relationships with a few adults who may violate this societal imperative of enforced ignorance, they are still smart enough to notice the obvious attempts to manipulate or to coerce them. So, if children are willingly keeping a secret of their sex-involving and thus “forbidden” relationship with adults, they do so consciously and understandingly.

And, if the intergenerational sex is accepted as normal, the main reason to prevent children’s natural initiative to socialise and learn will disappear. So, they would have even better and earlier skill of relationship-forming than they have nowadays, and would be much more responsible and reflective participants in any relationships with adults, including sex-involving ones, and would even notice and resist any attempts to coerce or manipulate them.

4) MORE ACTIVE SOCIAL DISCUSSION AND REPORTING OF SEXUAL EXPERIENCES BY CHILDREN

As I have already told above, nowadays the active intergenerational sexual relationship is based on a secrecy which is voluntary kept by all participants, children and adults alike. In fact, children are holding their older sexual partners’ fates in their hands, since children’s telling others about their sexual experiences with adults will irreversibly damage the social situation of the latter. Yet, the public disclosure of really coercive or manipulative behavior by the adult sexual partner bear some risks for children as well – by telling others, they condemn themselves to be further perceived and treated as perpetually traumatised victims. They also do understand that the reaction of other adults toward their misbehaved adult sexual partner will be excessively and disproportionately cruel.

And, if the possibility of positive and consensual child-adult sex is accepted and children who disclose it bear no risk of being socially labeled as passive victims, and understand that the adult sexual partner who has wronged them will not be treated in a too cruel way, will be entirely no reason for children not to complain to family and community in the cases of being forced or deceived by their adult sexual partner.

5) NO MORE PERPETUAL SEXUAL FRUSTRATION FOR PAEDOSEXUALS

Nowadays, paedosexuals are forced to remain celibate for their whole lives; more than that, oftentimes they are not allowed even to use fictional material for their private sexual fantasies, such as erotic images or descriptions of children. Most of them bear this unnecessary burden quite successfully. A few manage to secretly violate the unjust laws by maintaining consensual relationships with children and possessing erotic materials featuring consensual nudity or sexual activity of children, and thus acting harmlessly even if formally illegally; their deeds may be called “crimes”, but these “crimes” are clearly victimless ones. Yet there is still a very small but sadly real chance that a very few severely sexually frustrated, desperate paedosexuals will act in a coercive or manipulative way toward children, to fulfill sexual desires which were suppressed (and probably denied) for countless years.

If intergenerational sexuality is accepted, the paedosexuals will be able to fulfill their sexual drives in a socially approved way, and the possibility of unethical behavior induced by unbearable prolonged sexual frustration will become minimal.

6) NO MORE DEMONISATION AND DEHUMANISATION OF (PRO-CONTACT) PAEDOSEXUALS

If people are constantly being told that they are monsters, and, even worse, are being treated as if they are ones, a few of them will feel the temptation to fulfill the social expectations and start acting like monsters; and paedosexuals, especially pro-contact ones, are being described and treated as abominable monstrosities right here and now. To their high credit, the overwhelming majority of them never acted in a monstrous way, neither they are going to act so. Yet, two constant and intense messages these people receive are: 1) they are innately evil; 2) their natural drives can bring nothing but suffering to everyone around, and fulfilling these drives would be inevitably damaging to everyone. All these two statements are demonstrably false, as well as unethical in their dehumanising cruelty. Yet some poor souls among paedosexuals might believe in them. (“anti-contacts” actually believe in the latter, while rejecting the former).

Only by rejecting BOTH statements above, on a societal and cultural level, as falsehoods they actually are, can we end the dehumanisation of paedosexuals. When they are accepted as non-evil and non-dangerous human beings, whose natural drives are beneficial if being fulfilled in an ethically responsible way, they will be no longer subjected to demonisation, and thus free from temptations of irresponsibility and unethical behavior such demonisation brings with itself. So, the already very low chance of paedosexual turning into real child rapist will become minimal.

So, these are six very obvious reasons why normalisation and legalisation of consensual child-adult sex will decrease the levels of real rape of children.
