I'm sorry for the family's loss. However, I won't waste a breath doing some worthless prayer to a magical sky daddy.

If two football teams each pray before their game against one another, is it the team who prays the hardest that wins? Or the team on the side of the "right" religion?

Scientists have well documented the worthlessness of prayer.

Furthermore, theists show me again and again just what terrible, hypocritical people they are. For example, over the years I've had a friend who would cut me off all the time out of the blue, for no reason, and would not speak to me again for months or years at a time until I reached out to him again. Recently he's done it to me again. You might say that perhaps I did something to deserve it... well besides perhaps his own mental problems (which may account for his delusional theism), the last conversation we had was regarding having a cam chat (he brought up the cam BTW). He abruptly stopped replying and I haven't heard from him since. As I say, he's a theist. But he clearly doesn't care about my feelings, even when I told him in the past that I couldn't even sleep due to wondering about what I did.

I just don't get it how these people can believe in things like karma, and an afterlife of either punishment or goodness; an all-knowing Gawd who sees everything we do, but still be such horrible people. Pure hypocrites. And in my experience: of he worst kind. Religion actually makes them worse people, not better.
