You know as well as I do that the age of consent doesn't deter actual rape, since real violent and aberrant individuals do not give a damn about the law. What those laws actually do is deter consensual relationships that you disapprove of.

The decision will not ultimately be made by the teleiophiles, and since I do not believe you are a fool, there is no way you can possibly believe the average teleiophile is bereft of bias on their end! Who will ultimately make the decision is younger people themselves, since they are increasingly using social media to assert their rights and voices, getting more involved in politics, etc. And among their number is a significant minority of mesophiles (term coined in 2016 by Michael Seto, but their minority demographic has previously been acknowledged by Blanchard). They want to be respected; they want their views to be heard; they want their feelings to be considered; they want to contribute to the world when they want to contribute to the world, in the way they want to contribute; and they want their choices (whatever such may be) to be honored. You want none of the above, my esteemed opponent. So, do the math.

You defend a world order that, in a very general sense, is teetering on the brink of collapse, and is threatening to take all of humanity with it (the next psychotic, war-mongering Democrat you support in 2020 will make this abundantly clear yet again). This world order's pet moral panics and "justified" oppressions are part of that collapsing framework. Again, you gotta do the math, bro.
