My Achilles tendon is extremely sensitive. I have a pair of steel-toe shoes that I can't wear for more than 10 minutes because the backs of them rub up against the tendons and cause an absurd amount of pain. If I wear them even to work for an afternoon I struggle walking normally for days after.

For wrist strengthening, I recommend an hour a day of improvising on either a piano or a guitar.
