I will be honest, in that I only sort of mentioned this story partly due to what a sex symbol Nicole was to me at the time of that show (she went on to Baywatch later, as you know), how horrified I was to see what she looks like today, and partly because I do see it sort of as two former Hollywood stars who both surely have a lot of compromised morals and permanently inflated egos that get in the way of me caring all that much who screws who today for screwing one another years ago.

Not necessarily their fault, as they were both exposed early to the underbelly that is Hollywood, and let's face it, they were both originally chosen as young sex symbols to make their handlers lots of money. So in a way it's a shame if they don't see that commonality they share, though not surprising at all if their egos don't allow for it. Then again, how do we even know they are not in on some sort of PR stunt together? It would be funny if they were.

My view of Baio is that he had to fend off a LOT of very beautiful but underage girls during the years of his heart throb status. Perhaps he had handlers to do that for him once upon a time, but I am sure by then that he knew it could ruin his career. Add to that his conservative values and my suspicion is that yes, he waited until she was 18, and she said the same though backtracks now.

You have hints of a big ego on his part, which makes sense for anyone with that history. My hints are that Nicole turned into a big drug addict later, blew all her money, and has that classic former drug addict bloat. Her lawyer has a sketchy past probably worse than Gloria whatser face, and to be honest I don't believe any supermodel look Hollywood starlet is still a virgin at 17 unless they are one of the bible thumpers or a Mormon or something.

And yes, you make another good point, Diss. She's older now but she surely remembers the reality for herself. She was not naive. Kids in Hollywood grow up fast. They have to interact with adults all day and be ultra responsible to things like appointments and deadlines and learning scripts and a range of other things most people their age don't deal with until much later. Seventeen in Hollywood is like twenty-seven in "normal" life.

And so how many lose their "virginity" before 18? Most? Let's say 70%, although these new weird millennials are so socially inept that it seems The 40 Year Old Virgin won't have any humorous connotation to it within a few more years. At that time however, it was probably a very high number. So she lost it to someone she knew and was familiar and comfortable with, and whom she was also attracted to. Did he force her? Did tell her she was no good to break her down? Did he do a giant hocus pocus mindfuck on her? Clearly, no.

So let's say she did what countless other teen girls do... lose it to some guy she didn't know all that well at a party while buzzed. Would that experience feel better in retrospect?

I have a BIG problem with women who have made loads of wrong choices in their lives, sunk to the bottom of the barrel due to drug abuse, become completely broke and broken, and then insinuate that some guy they had a relationship with long before all of that is somehow the cause of their lot in life, or that he should give her lots of money now that she's failed in life. Reminds me of the Paper Moon girl who's also one of my favorites, but there are many many others who only try to go for the abuse gold once they've hit rock bottom.

My opinion? No, I would probably think Baio a bit of a dick and tough to be around, though I also suspect he is an awesome father to his daughter and places her on a pedestal. I am sure there are LOADS of secrets in Hollywood, or actually I don't even need to be "sure". I know there are, but I come down on his side that she was 18 like she originally said she was, and in terms of how fragile her mind was, I don't think 17 would have made a bit of difference, though it would not be legal.

I'm on a bit of a pro-male stance lately with all the craziness, Diss.
