And I nearly forgot! My phone reminded me about it this morning. So I ironed my pink shirt, said hello to Balder and Qtns2di4 (who made a point of being in chat on Alice day), and skipped off to work.

Work went as usual. Id taken off the shirt just incase someone knew the significance of it, and walked around in the boring gray tshirt I had been wearing underneath.

Long story short, I did get to see the only Alice around, briefly, homebound, as I passed her in the hall. I've only spoken to her once before, but apparently it left an impression; because here she was now, head tilted, cracking a huge smile, and waving at me. I shouted her name excitedly and waved back. Would there not have been so many people around I might have had that rehearsed conversation with her that I've practiced in my head many times over.

They say, at the end of your life, you will regret the things you didn't do, more than the things you did. For me, this seems to be true even on a day to day basis.
